Here’s your chance to get busy with one of the biggest tunes from 2009! Get those creative juices flowing – the winning remix will be considered for a digital release by Universal and featured in Florence’ MySpace for 4 weeks. You’ll also receive a signed copy of Florence’ limited edition four disc box set ‘Lungs!’ – so what are you waiting for?!! Good luck everyone!

You can either download stems and remix using your own software or work online with the Tracks&Fields sequencer….the choice is yours! And don’t forget you can form discussion groups with your fellow remixers to share inspiration, tech talk or anything else!

Contest Rules

1. Publish your remix on Tracksandfields. You are not allowed to publish/post your remix or the stems anywhere else.

2. Do no infringe anyone’s copyright: only use your own or royalty free/creative commons licensed material! Universal remains the sole copyright owner of the the song “You’ve Got The Love” and all audio stems. Florence will choose the best remix – the entrant with the most votes will not necessarily win this contest.

Peter Hook n’est pas n’importe quel bassiste, mélodiquement il est vraiment terrible, je le veux en Suisse pour un dj-set.

L’electro de Sinner DC revisitée avec succès. «Mount Age» ont ainsi été revisités par différents artistes et groupes, à savoir Mjuc, Water Lily, Piano Magic, Dave Apple et Future Conditional. Certains morceaux, comme «Wintertown», s’avèrent même supérieurs à l’original alors que c’est l’inverse pour «They never stay», qui était il est vrai une des deux parfaites réussites de «Mount Age». Avec son petit leitmotiv au piano d’une mélancolie hypnotique, «Sonic Boom», rend méconnaissable «Everything is sand», pour en faire un morceau évocateur d’un cosmonaute enfermé dans une petite capsule, perdu dans l’immensité de l’espace. Enfin, on signalera l’excellent «Showdown aorta», un titre inédit de Sinner DC lui-même, qui complète cet album electro de très haut niveau. (swissdisc-Hélène Koch)
