Slz, whose real name is Valentin Foy, is now a 20 year old young man.
Coming from a totally normal family it’s at the tender age of 4 that he neither learnt to play the piano†nor studied music theory.
Then when he turned 10 he did not enter the prestigious music academy of Montpellier, his hometown, prefering hanging around with his good friend Stram.
In fact his real relationship with music came when he was 15, getting involved into hip hop music and starting to be more and more interested in computer based music production.
At the age of 17 he dived into electronic music and, leaning on his musical knowledge, started writting tracks within the band Sheinkk.
In 2007 the band splitted up and he began producing tracks on his own under his pseudonym “Slz”.

DIRTY SOUND SYSTEM are Clovis Goux and Guillaume Sorge, two discerning French selectors currently living in Paris. Involved in numerous musical activities since the late nineties, Clovis and Guillaume are well known for their extensive and exotic knowledge of music. Dirty is now a full on label that draws attention from influential blogs, journalists and djs worldwide, and the boys are constantly touring the world since their first compilation “Dirty Diamonds” in 2003. Their selector works, blog activity (more than one thousand daily visitors to alainfinkielkrautrock) and dj sets have gained them a worldwide following, recently increased due to the success of their “Dirty edits” series. This ongoing collaborative project with their pal pilooski caught attention from everyone these last few months, from Justice to Laurent Garnier, Optimo, Gille Peterson and even Adidas who used one of the dirty edits for their recent worldwide campaign. Autopromo oblige, Cosmo va piocher dans le catalogue de son label I’m a Cliché pour en sorti les inconnus 10Lec Afin de corser un peu les choses, il choitsi un edit de Krikor, tout en élégance. Ce morceau donne le ton: peu de grands noms, si ce n’est Andrew Weatherall comme remixeur, Munk ou Daniel Wang, mais une série de perles. Cosmo Vitelli sait à la perfection allier ses talents de DJ à ses fonctions de label manager: qui connaît Death in Plans? ou Basic Soul Unit? L’occasion donc de découvrir une série d’artistes restés dans l’ombre.

DJ Food & DK showcase their AV mix that they perform live on 4 decks and 3 mixers. Using Serato’s Video-SL plug-in for Scratch Live, they mix, scratch and blend the sound AND vision for each track they play.
Months were spent creating videos for each piece of music, either using the original source material or, in most cases sampling footage to create a new video entirely. Described as ‘Video Turntablism’, it has become a way for Food & DK to visualize their already legendary DJ sets.
As usual, it’s the diverse mix of music that they love and are known for, taking in current club floor fillers, but also making room for classic tracks. You can now marvel not only at their musical tastes, but also the visual side as well.

Étant de sang espagnol POZ dévoile ses influences chaleureuses “deep-tech-house” qu’il n’a jamais nié. Écoutant non-stop la web radio “Deep mix moscow” depuis 2003, une concentration pour ça vie professionnelle, dit-il.

Vince: Hello Poz, présente nous ta nouvelle démo.

Poz: Hello, alors c’est simple je la trouve tout simplement spontanée très soft et chill, afin de se sentir au soleil toute l’année.

Vince: Ce ne sont pas dans tes habitudes des “sets” de ce genre, finalement quelles sont tes vraies influences?

Poz : Avant tout, mes vraies influences  sont le turntablism, hiphop, breakbeat scratch et cela depuis 1997. Avant de vraiment m’intéresser à la musique j’écoutais déjà toute sortes de genres musicaux , bref.. presque tout ce qui passait à la radio de 92 à 95, n’ayant qu’un poste de radio à cette époque avec les doigts sur “Pause-Rec-Play”. Je me souviens encore quand j’avais à peu près 12 ans, quand une de mes sœurs commençait déjà a sortir en Discothèque, je me préparais ma propre soirée, étant donner que je savais qu’il y allait avoir un Live sur “Couleur3 ” (radio fm). Je m’enroulais au chaud sous ma couette à même le sol devant mon poste de radio avec les doigts crispés sur les boutons “Pause-Rec-Play” pour enregistrer ce qui me semblait déjà intéressant, des sets de willow, djaimin ou mr mike.

Dès 1997, je suis tombé amoureux de l’art de mixer en ayant fréquenter divers stages de dj hiphop organisé par la “Zulu Nation Switzerland”. Depuis ces stages je fonçais tous les jours après l’école au centre de jeunesse utiliser la paire de “Technics”, suivi des expéditions dans la ville de Lausanne pour acheter à peine 2 vinyles. Heureusement que je ne fumais pas, car je n’aurais jamais pu m’acheter des Disques. Après 3ans de mix dans le centre de jeunesse de ma région j’ai décidé enfin de m’acheter des Platines, puis très vite, avec des amis (dont Rack), nous avons monté un Studio de Production hiphop au centre de Lausanne, d’où nous réalisions des mixtapes jusqu’en 2002. Déjà en parallèle, je commençais déjà à m’intéresser au monde de la musique électronique comme par exemple “Miss Kittin”, “Ladytron” et depuis je sens une adrénaline au même niveau que le hiphop.  Sans oublier actuellement l’influence ultime de La Ruta del Sol de Luciano.

Vince: Où te situes-tu dans la musique électronique actuellement ?

Poz : Une fois qu’on connaît profondément des productions telles que “Pepe Deluxe”, “Mirwais”, “Daft Punk”, “Dj Shadow” suivies des vagues  Kitsuné, Modular, Ed Banger, etc… je me situe actuellement comme simple dj et passionné de nouveautés en tout genre. Maintenant il est vrai que  je suis plus sensible aux morceaux mieux composés et élaborés.
