Born Originally out of a love for the often forgotten dj tracks on 80’s & earls 90’s hip hop albums most notably tuff crew’s dj too tuff & also the cut & paste pioneers of the past & present. This mix consiste of roughly 200 tracks, those of you familiar with some of the tracks will understand the time involved with creating such a mix, those of you who aren’t i hope you enjoy it all the same.

• GO OFF! (12 DJs Posse Cut Track)

Jayceeoh: 2 months ago I was in Vancouver and was going through some new joints and came across the Go Off track… The beat to me was asking for cuts on it… I had been kickin it with my homies Hedspin and Marvel and thought, yo we should do a quick cut track over this beat … So I chopped up the beat and sequenced it to 8-bars / hook and so forth… After we started messing with it we thought it would be dope to get a couple other people on this… So I reached out to a few people and so did my canadian comrades… Within two days I had a Dream Team of DJs on board… At that point I figured I might as well make it an even 12 DJs. Was a good number for a DJ track… Then finally on my last stop of the Canada tour I did a show with Scratch (from the Roots) in Saskatoon. I told him about the track and he was down to lay his beatbox/cuts on the intro … Icing on the cake… This track is a throwback to the good ol days when cuts were encouraged and praised. The Roster of DJs is as official as it gets… (R.I.P. Roc Raida)

POZ & RACK ( CH )

Le suisse Poz commença à mixer en 1997, et fit ses débuts avec le hip-hop en tant que turntablism Scratch et Breakbeat. Il collabora avec différents artistes influent dans ce milieu et sortis quelques mixtapes. Se tournant aujourd’hui vers l’électro influencé par Ed Banger il a déjà joué avec de grandes têtes d’affiches comme: J-Bounce, Vicarious Bliss (Ed Banger Rec.), Headman, Busy-P, Aeroplane, Digitalism (Kitesuné – DE), Chromeo (Vice, Modular – CA), Mr. Flash (Ed Banger Rec.), Audioprono (Yuhzimi – CH), James Pants, GRUM, KLEVER, Teenage Bad Girl, SURKIN. Il jouera cette fois avec sont accolyte Rack qui avec un peu près le même parcours fait une bonne paire ! Il y a encore 10ans Poz et Rack était assis devant une VHS des DMC 98 entrain d’halluciner sur Dj Craze! Aujourd’hui ils réalisent leurs rêve en partageant l’affiche avec! Merci éléctrosanne!

CRAZE ( USA / Ammo Records )

La vie de Craze est un leg de chiffons à la richesse: il n’a jamais eu la vie facile. Son histoire est en quelque sorte l’histoire d’une bataille qui se termine en victoire. Et il l’a prouvé: 3 fois champion du monde DMC, un record sans précédent, un titre qu’aucun DJ solo n’a encore atteint. Craze peut être sans doute considéré comme l’un des meilleurs scratch DJ au monde. Reconnu pour ses incroyables compétences de “Turntablist”, “scratcher” et showman,il est également célèbre en tant que Dj de club et en tant que producteur. Dj Craze se meut sans heurts entre la drum&bass et le Hip Hop. En gros Craze, c’est le DJ qui a réinventé le son de Miami grâce à un mélange qui lui est propre. Il fait revivre les fantômes du passé et expérimenter le futur dans un seul de ses sets !

KLEVER ( USA )

Que dire de DJ Klever aka Josh Winkler? Qu’il est excellent? Qu’il a de la bouteille? qu’il est dans le coup depuis longtemps? Franchement c’est trop usuel. On parle ici de la perle des perles, d’un mec qui gagne à lui seul 13 championnats dont quatre championnats du monde de scratch… Actuellement, Klever travaille en collaboration sur différents projets qui cherchent à introduire la culture de la rue à travers la musique et la mode. Tout au long de la soirée, il vous emmènera dans plein de directions différentes tout en gardant une lignée électronique. Du crunk et du booty à la dance-rock, la new-wave, la b-more ou encore le hard rock, Klever cassera toutes les barrières…
